JUST THINKING…

Did you know that God has something he wants you to do? Something He wants to do through you… Something He planned for you to do before you were born…  He actually custom designed you for it and placed you exactly where you are, right here, at this precise point in time.  He created within you an incredible and unique set of capacities, giftedness, life experiences and passions.  He gave you your own distinct personality, unlike any other.  His intention in doing all of this was and is to accomplish His purpose  for you, in you, through you, on earth.  He has carefully, knowingly, meticulously, lovingly and unerringly made you what you are and planted you where you are, in your specific set of circumstances to do something special for Him.  Though God will never force you to serve Him, He desires for you to love Him so much that you will willingly and joyfully take what He has given you and honor Him by serving others in the unique way that only you can do.  And His design is for us to serve Him together, as a church family, a spiritual community.  My primary function, as your Pastor,is to help you find out what it is that God wants you to do (Eph. 4:11-12).  No one else can do your God-given task!  The needs are great.  God has placed us in an area with over 200,000 people within our potential reach.  God has called us to reach them.  We have an exciting Fall Program starting  in  five weeks.  But it will require significant time and effort to make it work.  Would you seek God’s guidance as to what He would have you do?  Let me know;  we have a limited time to serve Him… let’s “MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES.”  (That’s an old saying, for you young “’whipper-snappers”)
